Mall Shopping Haul & Makeup Of The Day + Swatches

Hey everyone, how have you all been? Feel free to let me know in the comments, and don’t be shy. I don’t bite very hard! Lol

So if you read my post titled Trust Me, You Don’t Really Want Bigger Boobs—And Here’s Why, then you already know how frustrating it is for me to find a good bikini top.

Thankfully though, I was able to run by the mall yesterday and browse through one of my favorite stores to buy bikinis from (Pacsun).

•  •  •

I had almost lost hope, but I was finally lucky enough to find a bikini top worth wearing. It was also made by my favorite brand, L.A. Hearts, so I decided to buy it in two different colors.

One of the tops is a gorgeous light lavender color, and the other is a light olive, both of which will be worn with my black cheeky bottoms from Target that I shared in my post titled Destination Destin | Beach Get Away & Vacation Clothing Haul.

I’m also really excited about the new belly button ring I purchased from Piercing Pagoda for $19.99.

It has a large false diamond, and from that hangs a beautiful dreamcatcher decorated with more false diamonds and three dangling feathers.

And anyone who knows me knows I have a huge obsession with feathers! Not dreamcatchers lol, just the feathers. I’ve actually got a feather tattoo on my left side over my ribcage (sorry, kinda ran a little off topic there lol).

•  •  •

So it’s a pretty rare occasion that I put on lipstick, and it’s even less often that I buy it.

But this past Christmas, Mitch bought me an amazing makeup collection by Lancôme with a color that I really liked.

The lipstick color (on the left) is still just a little too pink for me, and it isn’t nearly as pink as it looks in this photo.

But to darken it up a little, I like to use a darker color lipstick that I have (on the right) and apply it over the Pinker color by Lancôme. If that results in a color that’s too dark however, then I repeat the process by adding on more of the pink and I’ll just alternate applying each color until I get it right.

I finished my makeup look for the day with regular mascara and eyeliner near my waterline, a highlight under my eyes, and contour over my cheekbones.

I would have worn eyeshadow today as well, I just didn’t have very much time to put myself together. So here you have my quick and simple makeup look, for the days I don’t want to go too heavy but still want to look classy as fuck. ✌

Lol well that’s it for today guys, I hope you enjoyed reading. Remember to visit the brand new Shop Page found on my blog site if you haven’t already, and leave any thoughts or comments you had on today’s post in the comment section!

Triple Threat Makeup Review| 3 Brands—3 Different Products

Hello again my loves. I hope you’re all having a wonderful day, and please feel free to tell me all about how you’ve been lately in the comments! And I promise you don’t have to be shy, I don’t bite very hard lol.

So to start out the blogging week, I’m coming to you all with 3 new makeup reviews on products that I just recently added to my collection.

•  •  •

First I’d like to talk about Maybelline ® New York’s Dream BB Pure 8-IN-1 Beauty Balm.

And here are the 8 benefits that are actually listed on the back of the product:

•    Clears Acne

•    Conceals Imperfections

•    Minimizes Look of Pores

•    Reduces Appearance of Redness

•    Adjusts To Skin Tone

•    Hydrates And Smoothes

•    Mattifies And Clarifies

•    No Oils And Lightweight

So this beauty balm contains 2% Salicylic Acid, which helps shed dead skin cells from the top layer of your skin, fights acne, and reduced redness and inflammation.

It has a smooth and creamy consistency, and does a good job evening out my skin tone. It also gives my face a pleasant Matt finish, and still leaves my skin looking and feeling moisturized.

What I like most about this particular BB cream though, is that it gives close to liquid foundation coverage without the caked up foundation feel. I’ve tried many different BB creams that just felt heavy and pore clogging.

But Dream BB Pure Beauty Balm combines concealing power and hydrating power, all while maintaining a lightweight feel.

Next is the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil, and what I love most about this eyeliner is it’s smooth application.

Im also pleased with its pigmentation, which is a very intense black. It’s staying power is pretty impressive as well, and I like that it’s waterproof because I always apply eyeliner to my waterline.

It does tend to smudge a little, leaving a bit of a panda eye. But that could just be because it’s summer and the hot weather is causing it to run, in which case almost any eyeliner would do the same.

But overall, this is a great longwear eyeliner that has bold color intensity and is comfortable and easy to apply.

Last but not least is Lancôme’s Color Design 10 Smooth Hold Shades Eye Shadow Palette.

I really really like the shades in this pallet, and I love that half of them are shimmery. My favorites are the shimmery copper and the dark and light gold colors. This whole pallet is just incredible for my blue eyes, and all the shades really make them pop.

Without an eyeshadow primer though, the colors don’t look as vibrant as I’d like. Using the primer does increase the color’s intensity so they look a lot bolder, but after a few hours they tend to lose their luster a little bit.

The colors also blend very beautifully, and I personally don’t even feel the need to use a transition color when blending. The shimmery colors even have sort of a buttery feel to them, and the other colors don’t feel overly dry or powdery either.

So that’s it for my triple threat makeup review guys! Now don’t forget to follow my blog if you haven’t already, and make sure you tell me about all of your favorite makeup products in the comment section!

I hope you all enjoyed reading today’s post, and I’ll be back again with more product reviews soon!

Adidas Superstar Sneakers | One Pair Of Shoes—Three Different Outfits

Hey errbody, how’s it hangin’?! Feel Free to tell me all about your day in the comments, and remember—you don’t have to be shy! I don’t bite very hard lol.

So last week when I returned home from Destin, I ordered a pair of used Adidas Superstar Sneakers from Poshmark. I had been dying to have these shoes for the longest time, but I was waiting to find a good deal online.

Finally, a decent pair had been listed on Poshmark at a low price, and I was able to snatch ’em up for $20!

But long before I actually purchased the shoes, I was on Pinterest searching for cute outfits I could wear them with.

Unfortunately though, I didn’t have all the articles of clothing that I’d need in order to put together the outfits I wanted to try. So instead I took what I had available in my wardrobe, and I came up with a few styles of my own!

•  •  •

My first outfit was pretty simple. As you can see, I styled my new sneakers with a pair of light wash jeggings (American Eagle Outfitters) and an Olive 1/2 sleeve crop top.

I specifically chose an Olive top to add some color to the outfit so that It wouldn’t be totally monochromatic. Plus, I love the color Olive!

And I thought since the jeggings were mid-rise, and fit me almost as if they were high waisted, that a crop top would be a great way to complete the look.

•  •  •

For my second outfit, I wore the same pair of jeggings from American Eagle that I used in Outfit #1. But this time instead of a crop top, I added a flowy black cold shoulder top.

I especially love how the top here is strappy, and that the black shoulder straps sort of coincide with the stripes on the sneakers.

And not only are the jeggings from American Eagle, but the top is from American Eagle as well.

•  •  •

The last way I styled my new Adidas Superstars was with an adorable sleeveless choker shift dress from American Eagle.

The dress actually has sort of a light olive colored ombre wash that (when paired with my new sneakers) makes for a punky-skater look, in my opinion.

And though I am a fan of all three looks, I believe the shift dress is my favorite. Not to mention it’s super comfortable!

But now that you’ve seen the different outfits I was able to put together, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Like which outfits did you like, and which one was your favorite? Or do you have any stylish ideas in mind you’d like to share?

You can just leave your responses in the comment section, and don’t forget to follow my blog, Vital For Style, if you haven’t already!

Anyway, thanks for reading guys! I hope you enjoyed the post, and I’ll be back again soon!

Beautiful Wooden Wall Decor For Your Home | A Few Different Ways You Can DIY

Hello again my loves. I hope you’re all having a wonderful day, and please do to tell me all about how you’ve been lately in the comments! And I promise you don’t have to be shy, I don’t bite very hard lol.

So today’s post is all about wooden decor for the home, and I’ll be teaching you a few different ways that you can make your own!

I actually began working on wooden projects a little over a year ago, and I have made a variety of different things, from wood slice chalkboards and alphabet refrigerator magnets, to large wood frame chalk boards and wooden signs.

Now I actually make and sell custom wooden signs for people’s homes! (Also, please feel free to ask me about potentially making you a custom sign if you’re interested, and I’ll be happy to discuss design elements and pricing with you.)

So today I’m going to share the various techniques I’ve personally used to make wooden signs, and hopefully you’ll discover a way that works for you.

This technique is by far the most difficult, but it is also the strategy that I use most often.

First, I have to decide what I want my sign to say. Then I visit where I type in the text I wish to use, and I choose a font style that I like.

From there I eye-ball the words from my phone and I copy down what I see onto the wood with pencil. I can erase my mistakes until I get it right, and once I’m happy with my outline I begin coloring in the letters with a sharpie paint pen.

The only difficult part about this technique for me, is judging the size and spacing of all my letters. But in the end, my best work has always come from free-handing my words. Some of my free-hand work is pictured below.

Tracing is much easier than free-hand, obviously. There are even multiple ways to trace your wording onto wood. For example, you can pull up the words or letters on your phone, hold a piece of paper over your screen, and trace what you see in pencil.

Or you can print off whatever you intend to trace onto the wood, use a pencil to shade all over the back of the piece of paper you just printed out, and then use a pen to trace over the letters on your piece of wood so that an outline of led is left behind.

Now here is an example of a piece that I made using the tracing method.

The transfer method can be kind of tricky. First, you have to lay out the words that you want on your sign in a Microsoft word document or something like that. You have to keep the size of your don’t in mind and determine how large your words will appear on your sign by using what you have on your screen as a reference.

Then, you have to create a mirrored image of what you came up with, and that’s what you’ll be printing. However, you won’t be using regular paper to print it on.

You’ll have to cut out pieces of wax paper in the exact same size of your regular copy paper, and then tape each piece of wax paper to individual pieces of copy paper as to not jam your printer.

When you successfully have your text printed on wax paper, you have to be careful not to touch the ink because it will smudge. You will then flip the wax paper over so that the words are no longer backwards, meaning the wet ink is now facing down.

Next, you will take the wax paper and press it down onto the wood sort of like a stamp. When you do this, be careful not to move the wax paper around at all, and hold it down firmly onto the wood.

You can then take a credit card or like object and run it over the wax paper as if you were trying to remove air bubbles as to transfer as much of the ink onto the wood as possible. Then you slowly and carefully lift the wax paper and reveal your masterpiece underneath.

Here is an example of a sign I made using this transfer technique.

So aside from using stencils, those are the three basic methods that I have used to make wooden signs.

You can experiment with all three and find which way works best for you, and even come up with some tricks of your own.

Lastly, don’t forget to contact me if you’re interested in having your own custom sign made, and remember to follow my blog, Vital For Style!

Now have a great week everybody, and I’ll be back again real soon! 👋

Destination Destin | Beach Get Away & Vacation Clothing Haul

Hey everybody! I know I haven’t posted in a while, I was a little busy the past few days. But feel free to tell me all about how you spent your last week in the comments, and don’t be shy! I don’t bite very hard lol.

So last Wednesday I drove down to Destin, Florida with my boyfriend, Mitch, to spend some time with him and his family at the beach.

Mind I haven’t been to the beach in years, and the only reason I went back then was for a softball tournament so it wasn’t exactly a “vacation”.

So considering this was my first legitimate vacation I’ve ever really had (bummer, I know. I don’t get to travel much), I was totally stoked to go.

On my first night in Destin, after the sun went down and the usual herd of beach-goers had fled the sandy shores, Mitch and I walked down to the ocean for a moonlight adventure. We searched for ghost crabs and walked the shore line for a few miles, then turned back towards our condo to call it a night.

Early on Thursday afternoon, Mitch and I met up with his family at the beach. Then, after swimming in the ocean for a while, we decided to go parasailing.

Neither of us had ever gone parasailing before, and I think Mitch was a lot more nervous than I was to be honest. Surprisingly though, it wasn’t scary at all! It was peaceful and the view was pretty amazing.

•  •  •

On Friday the whole family got together for a homemade seafood feast. Later that night, Mitch and I went back out onto the beach searching for more crabs and scanning the seaside with a metal detector.

Then when we realized a piece of aluminum foil and a bottle cap were the only two things we would find, we started collecting sea shells and made our way back to the condo again for bed.

Early the next morning, Mitch and I finally had the opportunity to go shopping. We drove down to a huge strip mall with about 50 different stores and circled the parking lot, and I decided to stop at American Eagle Outfitters first.

As always though, Mitch couldn’t stand walking around the store while I shopped, so he rushed me out pretty quickly. I was sure my shopping spree would end there, but I was lucky enough that he took me to Target too.

We made two more stops at Bass Pro Shops and Pizza Hut, then drove back to the condo to eat and change into our bathing suits.

After lunch, we walked to the beach and spent a few hours snorkeling and searching for sand dollars. By mid afternoon both Mitch and I were tuckered out, so we decided to call it a day and spent the rest of our Saturday recuperating.

We continued to recoup until it was time for dinner on Sunday evening. The whole family met up again to ride the water-taxi down to a restaurant on Harbor Walk.

We all ate and rode back to the dock near our condo on the water-taxi, then Mitch and I ditched to walk down to the beach one last time before returning to Georgia.

With both of us well rested, we decided to bring our fishing poles and spend the whole night fishing. It wasn’t until we ran out of fishing tackle that we had to turn back, but we still stayed up all night digging for sea shells in the sand.

Sunday night blurred into Monday morning. After the cup I had brought to hold all of our sea shells got full, Mitch and I walked back to the condo just two hours before Dawn and restocked on fishing supplies.

We made another short walk back to the water to fish just a little bit longer, and when the sun finally came up we were back to the condo to pack our things and hit the road.

Surprisingly we were able to make it out before 7am (8am Georgia time), and we arrived back at home by 2:30pm!

But it wasn’t long after we were unpacked that Mitch brought me out to the lake for even more fishing. I was exhausted, but I really didn’t mind much. I just thought it was pretty cool that we were able to fish in two different states in a single day!

So even though I wasn’t able to shop around for very long, I’m still happy with what I ended up with.

The first item from my vacation clothing haul is this pair of American Eagle Jeggings. They’re so comfortable, and I love the light/somewhat dirty wash they have. I bought them for $34.99 in Florida, but you can purchase them online for $39.99 on the AEO website!

Next I have this second pair of American Eagle Jeggings, which are also incredibly comfortable. They have a dark grey wash, mild distressing, and they are super low-rise. In Florida they were on sale for $19.99, but you can find them in the clearance section on the AEO website for $29.99!

I also bought this adorable cold shoulder soft and sexy tee from American Eagle (in black). It’s strappy, has a keyhole front, and looks great with my new jeans! It’s even on sale right now for $12.47 on the AEO website!

My last item from American Eagle was this totally cute mock-neck shift dress. It also has a keyhole front (so it looks sort of like a choker dress) and it has a beautiful ombre effect. You can actually buy it from the AEO website now for only $20.97!

After shopping at AEO, I also stopped by Target to look at their bikinis. While I was there I picked up this cute pair of ruffle bikini bottoms for $17.99. I just love the scrunched cheeky look!

Lastly, I purchased this pair of extra cheeky bikini bottoms, which were also at Target for $17.99. They have two straps on each side, and they match well with the black bikini top that I already own.

Well that was it for my clothing haul, thanks for reading! Don’t forget to tell me about how you spent your last week in the comments! And remember to follow my blog Vital For Style if you haven’t already, because I’ll be posting again later on this week. So be on the lookout, and I’ll be back soon my loves!
