Top 10 Makeup Favorites | Reviews & Swatches

I’ve spent way more money on makeup recently than I’d like to admit, but that has led me to discover a lot of great products that I am able to wear with pride and confidence.

Suddenly, doing my makeup everyday has turned from a chore to a fun and artistic activity that I enjoy doing day after day. I get to experiment with different products and pallets of color, using my own fresh clean face as a canvas each morning.

Of course, this has only been possible with the use of my wonderful selection of quality makeup products. Otherwise I would be applying my makeup in frustration, continuously trying and failing to get the desired effect, and finding myself disappointed with the final result.

IMG_20170813_220203

Thankfully though, that is no longer the case. Now it’s so much easier for me to create a look that makes me feel beautiful, I dont have to repeatedly correct any mistakes or mishaps, and I don’t need to worry about mid-day touch-ups.

With the correct tools at my disposal, beauty has become more like a hobby of mine than a task on my list of things to do during my morning routine.

So for the sake of your sanity and for all of those who have to look at you throughout the day (lol, just kidding), I’m going to share my favorite new products that can better your beauty without the added stress and frustration.

NEW MAKEUP FAVORITES

IMG_20170813_214840

1. ECOTOOLS MAKEUP BRUSHES

I was given a set of ecotools makeup brushes for my birthday when I was younger, and I just recently decided to try them out again.

So I ended up buying two brushes from their eye collection, and I have to say that I’m in love. The two I purchased are dual ended, so really its like I have four new brushes instead of only two.

Their brushes are so soft and fluffy, and they pick up product very well. You can easily tell they are quality made, and the hairs don’t fly out or lose their original definitive shape.

2. MILANI MAKE IT LAST SETTING SPRAY

Now I haven’t tried too many setting sprays, but I don’t need to try them all to know that this spray is one of the best for its price.

It comes in a translucent bottle, which helps to determine the amount you have left. It also sprays in an ultra fine mist and dries quickly, without leaving an ultra shiny or wet finish to your face.

Using the elf setting spray, I noticed the product wouldn’t come out evenly from the bottle, leaving white drops on my face where larger amounts of product had joined together. This didnt matter much once it dried, however it was inconvenient. The elf setting spray also left my face looking extremely shiny/sweaty after drying.

Another aspect of the Milani spray that I love, is that it doesn’t drown out the shimmer of my shimmery eyeshadows. I sometimes noticed this happening with other setting sprays. Not to mention it has great lasting power, and does exactly what it’s supposed to by keeping my makeup looking fresh all day long.

3. MAYBELLINE LINE STILETTO LIQUID EYELINER

I have been using liquid formulas for winged eyeliner for years, but I never liked how many of the pointed wands were either to thick or two thin. The other liquid liner I liked, which had the ideally sized pointed wand, was made out of a material that sometimes became flimsy towards the very tip after long term use. This would make it difficult to achieve a sharp point when drawing on winged eyeliner.

The tip of this wand however, is made of a much sturdier material that is able to maintain its shape throughout its lifetime of use. It’s also the ideal size for drawing on both a thick line above the upper lashes and sharp points for the ends of your wings, unlike the ultra thin applicators that take forever just to draw on a thick line.

4. REVLON BROW FANTACY BROW GEL & PENCIL

I purchased this gel and pencil duo in the shade light brown. This is actually the first time I’ve used a pencil for filling in my eyebrows, and I love that it also comes with a gel.

What I didnt like about other brow formulas I’ve tried is that they always appear too dark. As a brunette this may not seem like that big of an issue, but dark bold brows doesn’t fair for anyone unless they have black hair.

This pencil, however, is much more subtle and natural looking than gel formulas that you’d apply with an angled brush. The gel also helps fill in color without leaving smudges of color on the skin around the edges of your brows.

Lastly, I like that it does a firm job of taming my wildly long eyebrow hairs without causing them to look stiff, glued together, or stuck to my skin.

5. MAYBELLINE MASTER CAMOUFLAGING CONCEALER

When I bought this concealer, I was looking for a lighter shade that I could apply under my eyes (bridge of my nose, center of forehead, chin, etc.) to help me achieve more contrast when highlighting and contouring my face.

I ended up purchasing this formula in the shade 20 Light, and I’m pretty pleased with it so far. It doesn’t have the dense coverage that I’ve seen from other concealers, but it also doesn’t feel heavy or cakey.

Its formula is light enough that it allows my skin to breathe and doesn’t crease, but it still provides me with enough of the extra coverage and lightening power you’d expect from other concealers.

6. REVLON ULTRA HD MATTE LIPCOLOR

I am beyond obsessed with this lipcolor formula, and the shade. I purchased the shade HD Forever (645), and I am undoubtedly in love. The wand is much like that of a lip gloss, with a soft applicator tip, and the formula feels creamy and hydrating.

Different from matte lipsticks, this formula doesn’t dry out your lips or make them look cracked or flakey. When it’s first applied it looks shiny and feels like a moisturizing butter, but it dries to a matte finish. Which is perfect because I can’t stand to have a shiny lip, never have.

The color also lasts forever, and I mean forever! After hours of wear, when I can’t even feel any product left on my lips, the color is still matte and bold.

When swatching the lip color on my arm (see swatches in photo found later in post) and removing the product with a makeup remover wipe, I still noticed a trace of color left on the area where the lip color had been.

This can be a bad thing when you’re wanting to wash off your makeup or ready to try a different shade, but that just goes to show it has some incredible lasting power.

7. RIMMEL LONDON LASTING FINISH MAKEUP PRIMER

If you’ve ever used Elf makeup primers, then you’re familiar with the thick, sort of plaster like texture that it has right? Well this primer doesn’t have that kind of texture.

This primer has a consistency similar to that of a lotion, which feels much more comfortable on the skin. Upon doing a side by side comparison between the two on the back of my hand, I found that the primer by Rimmel London also had a luminous finish while the Elf primer simply had a matte finish.

Further in my comparison, I didn’t find much of a difference after applying concealer. But when I went on to apply eyeshadow over the concealer, I noticed the eyeshadow went on more evenly over the side that had been primed with the Rimmel London primer.

When I applied the same eyeshadow with the same brush to the side that was primed with Elf, the shadow seemed to go on more heavily on the areas where I started and changed direction with my brush (the left and right sides of a straight line), while the middle area looked a little lighter.

I also noticed it was easier to rub off the eyeshadow with my finger on the side that had been primed by elf. The colors were dulled down and with harder rubbing the products would cake up into little flakes and brush off.

It took more effort to rub off and dull the colors of the shadow I had applied on the side where I used the Rimmel London primer. It also didnt get flakey when I rubbed with more force like it had on the side used with Elf.

8. MAYBELLINE ROCKET VOLUME EXPRESS MASCARA

Believe me when I say I’m a huge mascara connoisseur. I’ve bought and tested a different kind of mascara each time I went shopping for makeup (3 or 4 times just within the past 2 weeks), and I’ve compared not just those, but all the mascaras I’ve used throughout my lifetime by their formulas, and their lengthening and volumizing capabilities.

Let me tell you that this is my favorite mascara that I’ve used in a very long time, if not ever. When searching for a mascara in the store, the first thing I search for is a package that advertises both length and volume. Next, I look at the wand.

I NEVER purchase a mascara that uses a wand that looks like a pipe cleaner. You know, the wands that are just like the basic disposable ones that you can buy in bulk? I always search for a wand that has plastic or hard rubbery bristles to separate the lashes (see photo).

IMG_20170813_215925

This mascara has both the ideal brush and formula for achieving long, clump-free lashes with bold volume. Other mascaras may have a formula that is too thin in consistency, which will give you longer lashes but cause them to look too thin.

Some formulas, and sometimes the wand, can’t help but cause the mascara to get icky and clumpy. The formula could either be prone to dryness and result in unwanted clumps, or the design of the wand may cause the product to collect into clumps all over the bristles.

The formula of the Rocket Volume mascara however, is perfect. It has a thick consistency that, when combined with its amazing wand, gives your lashes a full and more voluminous look while separating and lengthening each lash. It also stays nice and moist, preventing clump build up.

In the photo above you can also see the wand from the Maybelline Line Stiletto Liner that I mentioned earlier.

9. RIMMEL LONDON SCULPTING PALETTE BY KATE MOSS

This palette has to be one of my top 3 or 4 favorite products in my makeup collection right now. I have the shade 003 Golden Brown, and it has a light shimmery tan/nude highlight illuminer shade, a matte dark brown contour sculpter shade, and a gorgeous light salmon colored blush that has a faint orange shimmer.

These colors are so beautiful together, and they are extremely pigmented. The shimmery highlighter and blush also reflect the light incredibly well and I honestly feel drop dead gorgeous when I wear it. It adds the perfect amount and shades of color, and makes my skin look glowey and flawless. I really don’t even know how I ever lived without this palette, nor will I ever go without using it again.

IMG_20170813_215529

The swatches truly don’t give this palette the justice it deserves, and I seriously order you all to go to your local Wal-Mart makeup department and buy this product. Because if you don’t already have this palette, you’re losing at life and I fucking mean that lol.

You can also check out the swatches of my Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor (Shade 645 HD Forever) and my Maybelline Master Camoflaging Concealer (Shade 20 Light) in the photo above. Keep in mind that the Lipcolor had not yet dried when I took this photo, and the actual finish is not glossy like it appears. The lipcolor dries to a totally matte finish, and also remember that each of the color swatches pictured above may appear different in the photo than they actually appear in real life (thanks to my shitty camera and lack of natural light).

10. FLOWER SHIMMER & SHADE EYESHADOW PALETTE

Holy hell you guys, this eyeshadow is phenomenal. I have the Golden Natural ES3 palette and I literally use almost all of the 10 shades on a daily basis. And by that I mean I like the mix and blend their colors together in a bunch of different ways, and it makes for absolutely stunning eyeshadow looks.

This palette comes with a total of 7 ultra pigmented shimmery shades and 3 ultra pigmented matte shades (that do have a couple of sparkles here and there if you look close enough). They range from almost a white shimmer, to a light yellow gold, to an orange and bronzey gold, to a bronze. These shades are incredibly stunning, and you would be shocked at how bold they are.

The colors just go on so easily and blend like a champ, there’s honestly nothing more that you could ask for in a palette. Its got brilliant sparkle and color, fantastic lasting time, and some of the shades can double as a highlighter or bronzer.

Their lightest matte shade is my #1 favorite transition shade of all time, and I couldn’t NOT use at least 4 colors from this palette every single day if I tried. I’m telling you, this palette is DA BOMB, and much like my Kate Moss Sculpting Palette, you are fucking losing at life if you don’t go to Wal-Mart and buy this product now.

IMG_20170813_220656

Oh! And I almost forgot to mention that it comes with a fucking incredible blending brush that’s valued at $6! It is literally one of the softest brushes that I have and definetally one of my favorites in my brush collection, just as this palette is my #1 favorite shadow palette right now.

Well, we’ve covered A LOT of amazing makeup products today, and I highly recommend each and every one. Plus, all of the products I mentioned are affordable and great for both beginners and those that are more advanced at doing their makeup.

And despite the fact that the prices on these products aren’t down right outrageous and extremely expensive, I think they’re just as good, if not better than similar products you’d find at Sephora. Just try them for yourself if you haven’t already and tell me what you think!

Lastly, if you’d like to share some of your current favorite makeup products, just mention them in the comments! I’m always on the lookout for the next best in beauty products, so I’d love to hear any and all of your suggestions.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed today’s post and I’m looking forward to hearing about your own experiences with the products I mentioned. Thanks so much for reading everyone! Until next time my lovelies. ❤

Hair Care Routine For Thin, Dry, Heat-Damaged Hair

Hey everyone, I’m sorry for being absent so much lately. I’m still really busy with my new job and I haven’t had as much time to write these past few weeks.

Fortunately though, I have discovered a new hair-care routine that really seems to have made a huge difference in the health of my hair. So what normally looks like a head full of dry and damaged hair, now looks like a hydrated and healthy set of locks that feels soft and smooth to the touch.

MY DAILY ROUTINE

So like most hair-care routines, my process begins in the shower. The difference is that I don’t just shampoo and condition my hair. I condition my hair 3 different times with 3 different products before it’s all said and done.

STEP ONE

First I like to start by washing my hair with Pantene’s Repair & Protect Shampoo. I’ve noticed that my hair usually feels a lot softer when I use Pantene, and it’s honestly been one of my favorite brands for quite some time. I highly recommend their products, and if you’re not a fan of Pantene then get the f*** off my blog… Haha, just kidding guys. Sorta?

Lol anyway, after my hair has been stripped of all the dirt and oil that made it completely unmanageable, I move on to the next step in my process, which would be to condition my hair with Not Your Mothers Way To Grow Long & Strong Conditioner.

STEP TWO

I started using this conditioner just recently in hopes it would maybe help my hair grow a little bit faster, since my hair grows at an unbearably slow pace. But like I said, I just started using it so I’ll have to give you all the low down on how it works for me after a few weeks/months of continued use.

To be honest though, I have pretty low expectations because I’m starting to feel like nothing will ever help my hair grow longer. But we’ll see.

What I don’t really like about this conditioner is that it doesn’t actually do much conditioning. My hair doesnt get that silky smooth, totally detangled texture that you would expect from a conditioner, which is okay because I just rinse it out and apply Pantene’s Repair & Protect 3 Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner.

STEP THREE

Instantly after I add the deep conditioner into my hair it feels like silk. I leave it in for 3 or more minutes as advised, and then I’m on to the next phase of my process.

STEP FOUR

My fourth and final step (in the shower) is to apply a generous amount of Garner’s Whole Blends Honey Treasure Repairing Mask all throughout my hair!

Like the deep conditioner, I allow the mask to sit in my hair for over 3 minutes and then I take a comb and run it through my hair. I make sure to thoroughly rinse out what remains of the hair mask and I wrap my hair in a towel.

STEP FIVE

Finally out of the shower, I prepare to complete my hair-care routine. I remove the towel from my head and proceed to part and comb my hair once more.

With my hair still wet, I take my Suave Honey Infusion 10 In 1 Leave-In Conditioner Cream and work it throught the ends of my hair.

The instructions direct you to use about a quarter sized amount, however I use about 2 or three times that. I make sure to massage the product through the ends of my hair as evenly as I can, and I comb my hair one last time.

At last, after allowing the leave-in conditioner to sit in my hair for a few minutes, I finish styling my hair with a hair dryer and straightener.

New Major Makeup Haul & Firey Makeup Of The Day

Hey everybody! I know that It’s been a while since my last post, but I’m so excited to be back today to share my most recent makeup haul and MOTD!

So earlier this week, I felt desperate to find a new eyeshadow pallet to experiment with, as well as additional makeup brushes. That being said, I took a little trip to Target so that I could browse through their selection of makeup products.

After walking in a complete circle around the entire store in search of their beauty section, I finally found what I was looking for. When it was all said and done, I had spent a total of $63 on nothing but makeup and that was well above the amount of money I intended to spend.

But oh well… I’m very happy with the haul I walked away with that day! Now let me show you everything that I got:

ELF EYE BRUSHES

IMG_20170723_093131

So target offered a great deal on elf makeup brushes, where prices ranged from just $1-5 per brush! I bought…

  1. Eye Crease Brush ($1)
  2. Defining Eye Brush ($1)
  3. Concealer Brush ($1)
  4. Basic Shadow Brush ($3)
  5. Angled Eyebrow Brush #203 ($5)

MORE ELF, COVERGIRL, AND MAYBELLINE PRODUCTS

IMG_20170723_093435

I didn’t exactly have any of these items on my “shopping list” before I arrived, but I decided to give these next few products a try once I saw them on the shelf during my search.

  1. Elf Blemish Control Face Primer ($6)
  2. Elf Lip Primer And Plumper Duo ($3)
  3. Elf Makeup Remover Pen (Not Pictured – $3)
  4. Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara ($7.99)
  5. Maybelline Eye Liner Pencil (Not Pictured – $4.99)

NYX AND WET WILD

IMG_20170723_094327

Even though I never imagined I would actually spend over $10 on an eyeshadow pallet (I know, I’m super cheap), I decided to raise the bar this time. After all, that was the whole reason I made the trip to target in the first place!

  1. NYX Ultimate Shadow Pallet USP03 ($17.99)

I also wanted to get a new pressed contouring powder, because every time I try to apply my loose powder it looks too heavy.

2.   Wet n Wild Powder Contouring Pallet 749A ($4.99)

I’ll be writing a detailed review on the NYX Eyeshadow later on this week, so make sure to check it out! Meanwhile, here are some close-ups of the different colors from this amazing pallet!

7 FACTS ABOUT ME

(THAT YOU MAY OR MAY NOT ALREADY KNOW)

  1. I go bowling numerous times a week, and it is currently my favorite hobby! I’m still improving day by day, but my highest score right now is a 188 (and my second highest score is a 181). I finally set my personal record of 188 just a few days ago, and during that particular game I bowled 5 strikes in a row!
  2. I am currently working part-time as a server at a bowling alley in order to earn enough money to pay for a Medical Assistant Certification Program. I have worked as a Medical Assistant in the past (at the early age of 18), however I need to become certified before I can land another MA position.
  3. Whenever I’m not working or bowling, I’m most likely fishing, kayaking, or jet skiing at the lake near my home. I tag along with my best fishing buddy and boyfriend, Mitch, and together we fish for catfish and spotted or large mouth bass.
  4. I am the mother of the absolute cutest dog in the world. His name is Jax, and he is a 2 year old Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pit Bull mix. He only has 3 legs, as he had one of them amputated late last year, and he is the #1 thing that I love most in this world.
  5. My favorite color is orange, as I’m a huge Denver Broncos Fan. During football season I like to visit my parent’s house on Sundays so I can watch the games with my dad and older brother.
  6. I’m an abstract painter, and I’ve been painting my entire life. I come from a whole family of artists and painters. My mom used to paint murals, my uncle was an incredible tattoo artist and painter, my older brother is an outstanding drawer, and my dad has been a self employed commercial painter since before I was born.
  7. My two favorite bands of all time have always been (and always will be) AC/DC and Metallica. I’ve been listening to their music for as long as I can remember.

Thanks for reading everyone, and thank you all so much for your support. I couldn’t have earned my first award without you guys!

Quick Money Saving Hacks That Will Give You The Perfect Eyebrows

We all have our favorite beauty hacks. Like using baby powder as a dry shampoo or running our freshly painted nails under cold water to make them dry faster.

But today I’m gonna share my favorite hack to achieving fleek worthy eyebrows, without spending all that money on the designated products.

SLEEK BROW CHEAT SHEET

1. Instead of wasting money on a special brush for grooming and combing all of your little eyebrow hairs into place, just grab an old tube of mascara and rinse all of the remaining makeup from the wand, and voila! You now have an amazing brow brushing tool, and you didn’t have to spend an extra dime.

mascara-wands-tease-today-161101_bfc0d8180b7bcea2ca080e907be482fd.jpg

2. You don’t need to buy a designated “eyebrow gel” in order to keep your brow’s perfect shape in place. Just dab a little bit of regular old hair gel onto your new nifty wand and comb it through your brows, shaping them as you go. Then you just have to let the gel dry, rinse off your wand’s bristles with warm water, and you’re all done!

3. There’s no reason to buy an eyebrow pencil or makeup made specifically for coloring in your brows. All you need is an angled brush and a light-dark brown colored eye shadow from your huge collection of shadow pallets. Lightly dab your angled brush into the shadow color of your choice, tap your brush to remove any excess powder, and fill in your brows. The angled brush will ensure you end up with nice clean edges, and the gel you used from the second step will keep the powder from blending and smudging  as long as it’s still a little damp.

Have any of you already tried these hacks? Or do you have a genius eyebrow hack of your own to share? Just tell me all about it in the comments! And remember to leave your opinion regarding this brow beauty hack below as well!

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed today’s post and look forward to seeing more content from me later on this week! Have an amazing day everyone, and thanks for reading.

Need Some Ideas For Your Eye Makeup? Here’s Some Inspiring Makeup Looks For Beautifully Blue Eyes

I have to admit, I’m not a pro when it comes to doing my makeup, but I like to think I do a pretty good job. And most of the time, I just keep my makeup simple by applying mascara and foundation anyway. Because who wears eye shadow and lipstick when they’re just going to be walking around fishing all day, right?

But there are some days when I really feel like “putting my face on” and trying something new with my makeup. Unfortunately, I run out of ideas on how I should do my eye shadow pretty often because I like to try different looks each time.

And when I’m deciding on which shades to use and what not, I have to consider my eye color and pick the ones that will make them look bold and blue!

So today I have collected a series of photos from Brookelle McKenzie’s official Instagram page, @bybrookelle, because she features some of the best makeup looks for the blue eyed beauty.

Her profile is literally my favorite place to go to whenever I need that little bit of makeup inspiration to get myself looking A++, and I think you guys will find her gorgeous artistry just as inspiring as I do!

INCREDIBLE MAKEUP LOOKS FOR BLUE EYES

Drop dead gorgeous stuff right? I absolutely love love love what this woman can do with a few beauty products and brushes. Just writing this post and adding in all of these pictures makes me want to pull out my makeup bag and play around!

And before I discovered Brookelle’s amazing Instagram, I never would have thought using shades of pink eye shadow would compliment blue eyes at all. But when I first tried it, I was blown away at how incredibly bright and blue my eyes looked. As an artist myself, I should have already known that shades like pink and orange would make my eyes pop, because blue and orange/pink are complimentary colors!

Pshh… Shows how much know.

But anyway, I hope you guys really enjoyed today’s post and feel just as eager as I do to go and try out some of these amazing makeup looks.

And feel free to share the different sources that you personally go to for makeup inspiration, and let me know which of today’s featured looks you liked the most!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend now! Stay beautiful my loves, xoxo!

The Recollections Of A Model | As Told By A Too-Short Girl

As a vertically challenged female, I knew I wouldn’t make it very far as a model and there was nothing I could do about it. I mean, the minimum height requirement for most agencies is at least 5’8″, and I’m a lousy 5’2″. So needless to say, I was in it for the fun and the photos.

I did however have a year long modeling contract with Westhaven Management Group, but it expired back in November 2016 and I wasn’t that interested in signing again. At least I was able to make a few good friends out of the whole experience though, and it’s nice to have friends who are actually fashion photographers that I can go shoot with from time to time. But today I’m just gonna share a ton of photos and few fond memories I made during my attempt at becoming a model, lol.

NICK JORDAN & NICOVISION

My very first photoshoot was with Nick Jordan at Nicovision Studios in Roswell, Georgia. It was actually the day before my high school graduation, and I had an absolute blast.

best1 Nicovision7 Nicovision9 Nicovision6

I was actually wearing the same outfit that I wore to my graduation in the last two photos from above.

But I enjoyed shooting with Nick so much that I decided to shoot with him again later on down the road, this time for a lingerie shoot that I’d been dying to do.

You can see some of his work and even more pictures he took of me on his Instagram page.

STEVEN WALLACE

Most of the photoshoots I did were with Steven Wallace, who actually makes a living as a wedding photographer, but occasionally likes to shoot fashion. We became really good friends, got to shoot in some amazing locations, and took hundreds of pictures together.

We had our first photoshoot at a little hidden park in Atlanta, called Tanyard Creek. It was such a beautiful location, and it had a really old railroad track bridge and a gorgeous creek that we were able to shoot in.

We had our second shoot at the abandoned Pullman Train Yard in Atlanta, and it had to be the most incredible place I’d ever seen. It had multiple buildings with multiple rooms, all of which were humongous and empty, except for the largest room which contained an old train car.

Steven and I even had that last photo published in Popular Photography Magazine, as you can see above.

Our next photoshoot took place in an empty building in Atlanta, and we also took photos while walking around the city. At one point or another, there had been a random girl walking by, and we had to pause for her to pass. At first it seemed as though she was just going to continue on passed us, but when she was crossing she suddenly stopped and struck a pose right beside me! It was so unexpected, and it turned out to be a hilarious and very memorable moment.

Oops! And I almost forgot to mention, if you head down to the Shop Page on my blog, you’ll be able to find both dresses from this photoshoot for sale!

Anyway, another photoshoot we had was at Freemans Mill Park in Lawrenceville, Georgia. It was yet another beautiful shooting location, and this one had a waterfall that made for some great photos.

I had actually stolen the black skirt I wore in this photoshoot from my mom’s closet, and I never even returned it lol. And I can’t really remember what happened to the bikini I wore, but it had been my favorite bikini (not to mention the most expensive) from Victoria’s Secret. Soon after this photoshoot, it just disappeared!

Now my last photoshoot with Steven was at McDaniel Farm Park near Atlanta. It was a pretty cool place to walk around, and it had an amazingly long bridge that I was excited to take pictures on.

I still love to wear the leather jacket from this shoot all the time in the fall and winter. And you also may or may not have noticed another appearance of the black skirt I stole from my mom that I wore in the last shoot lol!

If you’re interested in seeing more of Steven’s work, you can visit his Instagram and check it out!

ATIN MAJUMDAR

I only had one photoshoot with Atin, even though there was some talk about planning another one. I guess that’s mostly due to the fact that I wasn’t all that happy with the photo turnout from our shoot. To be fair, some of my unhappiness can be blamed on the wardrobe that was used and the unpleasantly hot weather we had that day making my makeup run. But I honestly had to change outfits way too many times, and I’m just not that fond of the way he edits his photos either.

We did manage to capture a few photos I kind of like though, and who knows? I’m sure there are plenty of people who like his editing style, I just have different taste I guess.

J SCOTT NIMTZ

I first became acquainted with J.S. through Instagram, and we had talked of shooting together for a while but never had the chance. Luckily, he messaged me one afternoon that he was going to be in my area and we were able to put together a short impromptu photoshoot at an abandoned campground nearby.

You can also find the hat that I’m wearing in the second photo for sale on my Shop Page.

And if you’d like to check out more photos taken by J.S., just go to his Instagram page, or you can visit his website.

Overall, I’ve had a lot of fun working with different photographers and discovering new locations. And in the end, being short may keep me from being a real supermodel, but it isn’t going to keep me from modeling.

I hope you guys enjoyed today’s post and all of my pictures. I’d love to hear your thoughts or any stories you may have, so feel free to leave a comment!

In the meantime, Keep an eye out for more posts coming up within the next week and I hope you all enjoy your Friday! Love you guys, xoxo!

Trust Me, You Don’t Really Want Bigger Boobs—And Here’s Why

Hey guys! I hope you’ve all had a great Saturday, and please feel free to let me know how your week went in the comments!

So today for Style Saturday, I’m gonna talk about the struggles we “chestier” woman face when it comes to fashion, and why you should stop wishing for bigger boobs! I mean, you have no idea how lucky you truly are.

And let’s be honest. If you are someone who just wants a bigger cup size to appear more attractive to men (which I get it, we’re all human and we all want to appear more attractive to the opposite sex), then you’re wasting your time.

The right guy for you will love you exactly the way you are. If you’re using your body as a way to attract a man, you’ll be attracting the kind of man you DON’T want to be with! Annnndd that’s how toxic relationships are formed, but that’s a topic for another day.

Plus, you should already know that all you really need to attract a guy is your kick-ass personality, and that’s a fact!

But whatever it is that makes some people think that having big boobs is such a great thing, I can assure them it’s honestly not worth it! Here are just a few of the things that make big boobs such a burden.

•  •  •

1. YOUR OWN BRA CAN’T EVEN KEEP THEM UNDER CONTROL!

I swear, I have to adjust my boobs at least 100 times a day. And I don’t mean bra, I mean boobs.

Every time I look down to my chest, I see that my boobs have mysteriously tried to escape from my bra and are starting to pop out of the center.

It’s the most annoying thing in the world, and it happens just about every time I move. Literally the only way to avoid it would be to wear some sort of granny-nursing bra, and I am neither a granny, nor am I nursing so..

*Makes classic resting-bitch face*

2. THEY MAKE YOU LOOK FAT

Even if you’re skinny, having big boobs can make you look so much bigger when wearing certain styles of clothing.

Since having a larger bust means your boobs actually extend further out infront of you, clothes like tunic tops and shift dresses that just drape over your body will make you look wider.

These kinds of styles create the same illusion for everyone, though. Even smaller chested women will look wider than they would if they were wearing something fitted.

But imagine two different woman that are equally as thin, but differ in cup size. One woman wears a size 32A bra while the other wears a 32D, and they both try on the same shift dress.

Which woman would appear thinner in that dress? The woman who wears a 32A of course! And even though the woman who wears a 32A is no thinner than the other underneath the dress, the woman wearing a 32D would simply look wider because some styles of clothing (such as shift dresses) are less flattering on large chested women. Not science, just the cold hard truth!

3. BIKINI TOPS ARE ALWAYS A HASSLE

If you have big boobs, you probably have a very hard time finding a good bikini top during swimsuit season. Am I right?

You can’t wear bandeau bikini tops, because they provide no support whatsoever. I’ve honestly never even bothered to try one on because I already know that it would just. not. work!

Then you have halter neck bikini tops, which are always painful to wear. Why? I’ll tell you why. Because boobs are freakin’ heavy, man! And if you want to hold your big girls in, you’ve gotta tie that string around your neck pretty dang tight. Then by the end of the day the back of your neck just hurts like hell.

But we’ve also got those bikini tops that are similar to your everyday bra, with straps that go over each of your shoulders. The problem with these is that without an under wire, almost any movement can easily trigger an escape (you know what I mean).

Then the rest of the bikini tops out there are either too ugly or they make your boobs look weird, and those are really our only options!

4. THEY EVEN STAIN YOUR FAVORITE SHIRTS

How you ask? Because they are sneaky little bastards that have minds of their own, minds that hate us! And here’s how they will do it…

You could just be relaxing at home, minding your own business, ya know. Maybe you’re munching on some chili and watching TV on the couch. You mindlessly feed yourself one mouth-full of chili at a time while your eyes are glued to some infomercial you’re watching. You’re about to take your next bite, but just before it reaches your mouth… BOOM!

One little bean, or one tiny drop of sauce finds its way off of your spoon or fork, or whatever utensil you use to eat your chili, and it lands directly on your boobs below staining your shirt. And just like that, your new favorite shirt is officially ruined! (You’d be surprised at how often this kind of thing actually happens)

If your boobs weren’t so big and always in the way, that little bean or that drop of sauce could have missed your new shirt completely and just fallen back into the bowl, on the table, or even on your lap. Literally anywhere else besides your favorite shirt.

Alright now ladies, I could literally go on and on about how having big boobs is more of a pain in the ass than anything else. As a female that wore a C-cup by the 5th grade, I can honestly say I hate them.

So just take my word for it and be thankful. They’re really not all that they’re cracked up to be, and stressing over them, or potentially spending thousands of dollars to enlarge them one day would NOT be worth your time or money.
