Product Review | NYX Ultimate Shadow Palett USP03 – Warm Neutrals

So if you read my last post New Major Makeup Haul & Firey Makeup Of The Day, then you already know that I recently bought the NYX Professional Makeup Ultimate Shadow Palette.

Now, mind that I’m not really the kind of girl who spends a bunch of money on eyeshadow palettes all of the time. I only began wearing eyeshadow on a regular basis just recently, and most of the shadow palettes that I already own were given to me as gifts.

That being said, the NYX Ultimate Warm Neutrals Shadow Palette is the first palette I’ve purchased myself that actually costs more than $5, so I was incredibly excited to try it and even more excited to share my findings!

First of all, this particular palette contains 16 different shades. There are a total of 8 matte colors, and it also has 7 colors that shimmer.

The “Warm Neutrals” colors range all the way from light light nudes, browns, reds and dark purples, to pinks and oranges.

Being that I have blue eyes, I had actually been looking for a palette geared towards reddish and orange colors, simply because blue and orange are complimentary colors and these kinds of shades really make my eyes pop.

COST

So the NYX Ultimate Warm Neutrals Palette is generally pretty cheap, as far as quality eyeshadow palettes go. I mean, I’m one of the cheapest people in the world and I was still willing to buy it lol.

Anyway, I bought my palette from Target for only $17.99, and I was fine with spending more money than I normally would because I actually like the range of colors that it has. It was exactly what I went in searching for, and I was happy with my purchase.

APPLICATION

As far as application goes, I’m pretty impressed with how vibrant the colors look on the skin. A lot of the time colors will look incredible on the palette, but once its on your face it just doesn’t look as bold.

Another thing that’s great about this eyeshadow is that picking up the powder with a brush is effortless.

I absolutely hate when you have to continuously rub your brush in the product in order to get a reasonable enough amount to apply to your lid. I see this problem with a lot of cheaper drug store like shadows (mainly just the colors that shimmer).

LASTING TIME

This eyeshadow has INCREDIBLE lasting time! It’s unbelievable! I can wear my eyeshadow all day long and all through the work day, even with the heat and humidity of summer in the south. I personally have never had an eyeshadow that, at the end of the day, looked almost exactly the same as it did when I first put it on.

The colors don’t seem to fade or dull down. They keep their vibrancy and boldness after hours of wear. They could even last until the following day if you chose not to wash off your makeup!

The colors are absolutely perfect for blue eyes, and would probably be great for any eye color honestly. I just love how this palette makes my eyes look so bold and blue.

And not to mention all of the compliments I’ve gotten when wearing this eyeshadow. I literally hear “wow, you have such pretty eyes,” or “who does your makeup? It looks amazing,” at least 1-2 times a day. Which of course feels awesome, soo..

I definitely recommend the NYX brand in general, but without a doubt suggest you try out this Ultimate Warm Neutrals Palette. It truly is a great product that I not only enjoy wearing, but enjoy applying and experimenting with.

So give it a shot, and let me know what you think. Or just leave a comment telling me about your personal favorite shadow palette and what makes it so great!

Anyway, I hope you guys have enjoyed today’s post. Thanks so much for reading! I’ll hopefully have more fun content for you guys later on this week, so be on the look out, and try to have a not so shitty Monday!
